Disaster Relief - Sandy

Anas reported that the Prophet, peace be upon him, used to supplicate, "O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy, and you alone can turn a difficulty into ease."   (Ibn As-sinni)

As Salaam Alaikum,

As the East Coast recovers from Sandy, The Mosque Cares has reached out to Brothers and Sisters in the area to understand the impact to members of our community and how we can best assist them.  Alhumdullilah everyone we have spoken to indicates they and their families are safe.

If you are in the immediate area, but were not affected you can help by:

1. Creating a collection site at your community/ masjid/ school / business
2. Donating essential items like canned food, toiletries, clothing, etc.
3. Volunteering to help coordinate pickup and distribution of items

Our goal is to assist the hardest hit who have the least resources. They probably do not have insurance, may not qualify for FEMA assistance, etc.

As we learn more, we will keep you informed.

Burglary at The Mosque Cares Building - Update

But when the prayer is ended, then disperse abroad in the land and seek of Allah's grace, and remember Allah much, that you may be successful.  (62:10)
As Salaam Alaikum, Happy Jumuah Day!

Thanks to Allah The Mosque Cares building renovation continues to progress and we are working to replace our stolen air conditioning units.

Please, we need everyone's help now.  No amount is too small.  Your contribution will allow us to successfully complete the renovation project and replace and secure our air conditioning units.  100% of funds raised will be applied to these efforts!

This renovation project increases the capacity for Jumuah Services and daily prayers. Our next phase of this renovation project will include larger male and female bathrooms with wudu stations.  You may begin donating to this effort now.  We are still working on a final estimate for this project.  The third phase will include a modern commercial style kitchen at the rear of the building.  Insha Allah

Our overall fundraising goal is $55,000 for the building renovation, tax payments and replacement of the stolen air conditioning units. We thank all who have donated; so far we have received $12,550 towards the building renovation and $1,565 toward the replacement of the air conditioning units.

Remember any amount will help us!

We also have Sponsorship Opportunities!
