He is a graduate of Sister Clara Muhammad schools (both
elementary and secondary) and a dedicated Student of Imam W. Deen
Mohammed. He assisted Imam Mohammed, in
various capacities for 20+ years. He is committed
to maintaining and promoting Imam Mohammed's leadership and vision for a better
and more prosperous human life.
Under W. Deen Mohammed II's leadership the Ministry of Imam
W. Deen Mohammed, has successfully continued monthly and annual programs
established by Imam Mohammed including the monthly First Sunday Community
program; Annual Saviors Day, Muslim
Convention, Ramadan Session, Patriotism Day Celebration, etc. The organization sponsors Qur’anic Arabic
class, financial literacy education, health & nutrition information
sessions and business/entrepreneur initiatives.
He is also an advocate for "quick thinking, fast moving, right down
to the modern times" by maintaining an interactive internet presence using
all forms of social media.
W. Deen Mohammed II is currently working on various
initiatives and is committed to maintaining relationships with all of our
Muslim Brothers and Sisters as well as members of other faiths. He is a Trustee Emeritus for the Parliament of the World's Religions, Co-President
of Religions for Peace USA and a founding member of the U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO). The Mosque Cares and Jewish members of Chicago's South Suburban community partnered to launch the Neighbors in Faith grassroots campaign. He partners with organizations to promote dialogue among people of different backgrounds
including relationships with: White House Office of Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships; National Muslim-Christian Initiative; Organization
of Islamic Cooperation (OIC); Chicago Faith & Action Movement; Chicago
Faith Based Leaders; Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago; The Paul Simon Public
Policy Institute; and Focolare Movement to name a few. W. Deen Mohammed II received warm greetings
and encouragement from President Barack
Obama for his work done on behalf of the Ministry of Imam W. Deen Mohammed.
Warith has been married to
his wife Robin for 25 years and has 5 children.
